
Kenton girls’ soccer welcomed Shawnee for a WBL showdown. The game started back and forth, but Shawnee won the possession battle in a 0-0 first half.
Kenton came out in the second half with some more energy, and Ellie Minter was able to draw a penalty kick at the 29-minute mark. Reese McKinniss made the penalty kick to put the Cats up 1-0. A little over a minute later, Shawnee scored off a rebound from an indirect kick to tie the game at 1-1. A few minutes later, Kenton ended up in the same position as Shawnee received another indirect kick and put the rebound in to go up 2-1.
