Kenton set to give Manns and Phipps a proper send-off to OHSAA Cross Country Championships

Two Wildcats, Wade Manns and Gary Phipps, have qualified as individuals for the 2026 OHSAA Cross Country Championships. The event will be held at Fortress Obetz this Saturday at 2:20 PM but the two outstanding athletes will be receiving a special “send-off” on Friday. The community is highly encouraged to join in the celebration.

It all begins at 1:41 PM at the high school, followed by a police escort to the elementary school, where students and staff will give them a proper send-off. Around 2:00 PM, they will depart the elementary, continuing with a police escort across Silver Street and then turning onto Main Street as they make their way through town.
