
The Wildcats take the 5-3 victory over the Comets on Thursday evening to even their record to 1-1.
Starting on the mound for Kenton was sophomore Austin Dysert going 5.0 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 BB, 5 K’s, earning his first career varsity win. Coming into pitch the final 2 innings was Senior Grady Kleman-Beazley, 2.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K’s slamming the door to earn his first save of the season.
The Wildcats were lead at the plate by Sophomore Haven Conley, 1-3, 3 RBI and Senior Dawson Miller, 1-2, 1 R, 1 BB. Kenton had great at bats throughout the lineup, taking 5 BB. Sophomore Jayden Mustain lead the team with 3 stolen bases.
The Wildcats Varsity is back on the diamond Tuesday when they open league play at home vs Van Wert. JV will be back on the field tomorrow vs Elgin.
