Kenton’s Bill Wilkinson Qualifies for Division II State Track & Field Meet in Shot Put and Discus

Kenton High School’s Bill Wilkinson is headed to the OHSAA Division II State Track & Field Championships, earning spots in both the shot put and discus events.

Wilkinson clinched his place in the shot put with a 4th place finish at the Lexington Regional Meet on May 31, and also qualified for the discus as an at-large selection, recognizing his strong season performance.

The Division II Championship schedule at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus is as follows:

  • Friday, June 6 – 9:30 AM: Boys Shot Put
  • Saturday, June 7 – 9:30 AM: Boys Discus Throw

Wilkinson will represent Kenton among the state’s best, and the community is encouraged to show their support.
