Raiders Fall to Braves Take 2nd in Mad River

The Benjamin Logan girls varsity soccer team fell at Shawnee tonight 5-0 to finish in a 1st place tie in points with Shawnee for the Mad River division title.  Since the first tie-breaker is head-to-head, the Raiders will finish second in the league with an overall record of 12-3-2 for the season.  They will turn their attention to the post season where they will host Kenton Ridge in the sectional finals next Thursday at 7:00.

Coach Hughes shared his thoughts on the team, saying, “I know it wasn’t the result we were looking for tonight but we are extremely proud of the regular season we have been able to put together. 12-3-2 is an amazing regular season but we aren’t done yet. This game I think will just make our girls hungry to get back at it and we really look forward to playing better, learning from this, and turning our attention to KR and the tournament.”
