
Despite a late rally, the Upper Scioto Valley Rams fell 13-12 to Hardin Northern in a high-scoring softball game Tuesday. Trailing by five in the seventh, USV clawed back with a triple and two singles but couldn’t complete the comeback.
Layla Hunsicker led the Rams with two hits and two RBIs, while Shalyn Lawrence and Gracie Carl each drove in runs early. USV totaled 11 hits and stole eight bases.
Hardin Northern countered with 13 hits, led by L. Holtzberger’s four RBIs and A. Bacon’s three-hit day.
USV travels to Ottoville on Wednesday.
