Rams fall to Elgin on softball

The Upper Scioto Valley Rams Varsity softball team fell to Elgin 8-4 on Monday.

USV struck early with RBI hits from Ruby Risner and Sydney Christensen in the first inning. Risner and Shalyn Lawrence helped tie the game at 4-4 in the third, but Elgin regained the lead in the bottom half and never looked back.

Risner led USV with two hits and two RBIs, while Ashlyn Downing added two hits and two stolen bases. The Lady Rams tallied five steals and turned two double plays. USV returns to action Tuesday against Hardin Northern
