The Upper Scioto Valley Rams came up short on Monday evening, falling 10-0 to Waynesfield-Goshen in a tough matchup.
Waynesfield-Goshen broke through in the third inning with a string of doubles that opened the scoring. Despite a solid effort from Raegan Castle, who pitched five and two-thirds innings and struck out five, the Rams couldn’t slow down the Tigers’ offense, which collected 15 hits on the day.
Waynesfield’s T. Vorhes kept the Lady Rams off the scoreboard, tossing a no-hitter with nine strikeouts and four walks.
Upper Scioto Valley will now prepare for the OHSAA tournament, traveling to Kalida on Thursday for a first-round game.
