Riverdale Falcon Wrestling Team Shines at BVC Championships: Phelps and Reed Capture Titles
The Riverdale Falcons made a strong showing at the Blanchard Valley Conference (BVC) Wrestling Championships earlier today, with Grady Phelps and Kydin Reed leading the way as champions in their respective weight classes.
Phelps, wrestling at 132 pounds, captured the BVC Championship and earned 1st Team All-League honors, while Reed triumphed at 190 pounds.
Their victories marked a significant achievement for Riverdale, as they became the Falcons’ first conference champions since 2020.
In addition, two other Riverdale wrestlers also made their mark on the podium. Ethan Spitnale fought hard and earned a fourth-place finish at 120 pounds, while Jackson Armrose followed suit with a fourth-place finish at 138 pounds.
They now look forward to participating in the upcoming sectional tournament.
