Henry Stolly has stepped down as head coach of the Bellefontaine High School boys basketball team, wrapping up an impressive coaching career that spanned over 30 years. A BHS graduate, Stolly led the boys’ team in two stints, from 2007-2016 and again from 2020 until now, with a stretch in between coaching the girls’ team. In his resignation letter to Activities Director Jason Calton, he shared that he wants to spend more time with his family, focus on personal interests, and explore other professional opportunities, saying, “Coaching at Bellefontaine High School has been a truly rewarding experience,” he would go on to say “I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with such dedicated student-athletes, supportive colleagues, and an engaged school community. Watching our players grow not only as student-athletes but also as individuals has been one of the most meaningful aspects of my time as a coach.”
The longtime educator will continue to serve BHS in the classroom as an accounting, economics, business law, and sports marketing teacher.
