USV softball came out swinging Thursday night, racking up 15 hits in a wild 19-14 loss to Kalida. The Rams jumped out to a 4-0 lead early, with big hits from Raegan Castle, Ruby Risner, and Sydney Christensen. Araya Boyd added a double, and Shalyn Lawrence had a strong night at the plate, going 3-for-5.
Despite the offensive explosion, Kalida rallied late, tying it in the 7th and pulling ahead with a 5-run 8th inning.
