The Kenton Wildcats headed to Bucyrus on Saturday for the Wynford Winter Classic, where each team bowled 16 baker games before the top four advanced to the finals. With a 3219-pin total, Kenton claimed first place heading into the final round. After waiting for two matches to wrap up, they faced Bucyrus in a three-game total pin match to decide the champion. Unfazed by the delay, the Wildcats came out on top, defeating Bucyrus 588 (147 – 227 – 214) to 570 (194 – 141 – 235) to take home the tournament win.
Kenton hosts Riverside on Tuesday at Hillcrest Lanes at 5:00 pm.
