Wildcat Boys Tennis Opens WBL Play with Win

The Kenton Wildcat Tennis Team opened up WBL play with a solid win over the Van Wert Cougars 4 – 1. The Wildcats got victories at 2nd and 3rd Singles and 1st and 2nd Doubles. At 1st Singles, Garraden Wirbel lost to Zach Stolller 2-6, 2-6. At 2nd Singles, Seth Spencer defeated Beau Bear 6-1, 6-1. At 3rd Singles, Leighton Wirbel defeated Ben Verville 6-1, 6-1. At 1st Doubles, the team of Cale Harshfield and Wyatt Campbell defeated Kaz Moyihan and Kole Swander 6-0, 6-1. At 2nd Doubles, the team of Richard Huang and Tate Ketcham defeated Jacob McComes and Blake Oakley 6-1, 6-1.

In JV play, Jack Whitmer and Brady Cole won a modified match 8-0 and Gatlin Davis and Jace Murphy were winning another modified match when play was suspended.

The Wildcats travel to Shawnee on Friday for another WBL match.
