Wildcats Fell to Defending WBL Champions in Boys Golf

The Kenton boys varsity golf team hit the road Thursday to face the defending Western Buckeye League champs, Ottawa-Glandorf. The Titans took the win with a 149-180 score over the Wildcats. Austin Root led Kenton with a 42, followed by Brayden Lowe with a 44 and Anden Goldsmith with a 45. Oliver Sneary shot a 49, while Rhoen Goldsmith and Quin Kozman each carded 52. Ottawa-Glandorf’s top scorer was Alex Belleman with a 36, with Tyler Heckman and Collin Ellerbrock both posting 37s. Davis Maag added a 39, Logan Brinkimeier shot a 40, and Collin Verhoff rounded things out with a 45. Despite the loss, the Wildcats gained valuable experience against the reigning champs and will look to build on it as the season moves forward.
