FINDLAY, OH – Anyone interested in pursuing furbearers at Andreoff Wildlife Area in Hardin County is encouraged to register for controlled trapping opportunities, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.

Six trapping permits are available for two trapping segments. The first segment is open Jan. 13 to Jan. 31, 2020, and the second will be open Fed. 1 to Feb. 29, 2020. Three permits are available for each segment. Each permit allows one additional licensed trapping assistant. Permits are not transferable.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and opens Dec. 31 at https://apps.ohiodnr.gov/wildlife/educationregistration. Trappers are required to have a 2019-2020 Ohio Fur Taker Permit to register. Participants will choose from three zones at registration. Trappers are only allowed to register for one trapping opportunity at Andreoff Wildlife Area for the season. Each successful applicant will receive a permit, instructions and map of the area via email.

Any questions regarding controlled trapping or registration can be directed to Jaron Beck at 419-429-8324.

Access to Andreoff Wildlife Area is restricted to permitted parties only. Those visiting the wildlife area without a permit for wildlife viewing may do so on the first and third Sundays of each month, unless otherwise posted.
