
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office released information today about an accident that occurred late this past Monday morning at the intersection of County Road 180 and County Road 115 in Lynn Township.
According to a release, a 1999 GMC being driven by Michael McClellan of Marion was northbound on County Road 115 while a 2019 Chevy being driven by Michele Jordan of rural Belle Center was eastbound on County Road 180.
Jordan failed to yield to traffic on 115, and her vehicle was struck by McClellan’s vehicle.
Disabling damage occurred to Jordan’s vehicle, and minor damage to the McClellan vehicle.
A passenger in the McClellan vehicle was transported by EMS to a local area hospital with suspected minor injuries.
Jordan and all other occupants of the McClellan vehicle were assessed on scene by EMS and appeared to be uninjured.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Richland Township Fire Department, BMRT Ambulance District, BKP Ambulance District and Osborn’s Towing.
A citation was issued to Jordan for right of way at stop sign.
