A look inside a typical classroom. Floor tile has been installed. Next will be remaining ceiling tile. On either side of the white board will be a large screen TV display.

A look down the hallway. Ceiling tiles will be installed as well as lockers on the drywall side (depicted on the left side of this photo) lockers will be halved, meaning there will be a top & bottom locker.

The library looks over the Commons which is where students will eat lunch. Students will be divided by age by the planters in the middle (which are not staying purple) Terrazzo flooring is yet to be installed in this space. off the commons are the conservation science lab, art classrooms, media arts lab, and makerspace.

The Biology lab sits downstairs in the high school wing of the building. The classroom is designed for pod-style small group stations for experiments. This floor will be polished concrete. The chemistry lab is in a very similar setup.

There is a centrally-located concession stand to service both the gymnasium and the Performing Arts Center. The concession stand sits just off the commons, and will be a welcome change from the current table set up in the KHS Cafeteria.

The score board has been hung in the main Gymnasium. It can also be noted that painting has been done in the main gym.

The backing of the “video board” display. This display will feature jumbo-tron-like graphics and video to enhance the game experience. Basketball hoops and volleyball pole mounts have also been installed.

Through this door is the Sports Performance Center, which will feature a smaller gymnasium, 5 yards wide of artificial turf, and weightlifting equipment for athletic training classes.

The fly of the stage is just under 50 feet. Lights and curtains will hang from these 17 linesets. The current middle school has only four line sets. Of note the Performing Arts Center’s stage has a five-foot-wider proscenium, plus wing space. It will also feature an extension that can be taken down to reveal an orchestra pit.
These pictures were taken on July 9, 2025. The building is on schedule to open in late fall, 2025.
