
The Freed Center for the Performing Arts at Ohio Northern University (ONU) announces its full slate of theatre, dance and music events for the 2025-26 season, beginning with the contemporary musical The Mad Ones which opens on Oct. 1.
Flexible season subscriptions are now available for purchase through the Pick 2, 4 or 8 packages which allow patrons to build their subscription the way they want to, and save up to 20% off single ticket prices while securing the best seats. The ONU Holiday Spectacular is not eligible for the season subscriptions, but subscribers can purchase tickets early for this very popular event as an add-on to their subscription order.
Single tickets are available for purchase for all events on Monday, Aug. 25, with the exception of the Ada performances of The ONU Holiday Spectacular which go on sale Oct. 8.
Subscriptions and single tickets can be purchased online at www.freedcenter.com, by phone at 419-772-1900 or in person at the Freed Center Box Office, Monday through Friday, Noon to 4:30 p.m.

The season opens during ONU’s homecoming weekend with the small, intimate, contemporary musical The Mad Ones by Kait Kerrigan and Bree Lowdermilk. The four-person cast tells the story of 18-year-old Sam who isn’t sure that Ivy League school is the right choice anyone when her path takes a sharp and painful turn. The show follows Sam’s journey through grief and her decision to pursue her own future. Performances will be held in the Stambaugh Studio Theatre stage slated for October 1, 2 and 4 at 7:30 p.m., and October 5 at 2 p.m.

Dec. 5-7: The ONU Holiday Spectacular at Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center (Lima)
Dec. 11: ONU Orchestra and University Singers Holiday Concert
Feb. 7-8: Spring Into Dance
Feb. 26-March 1: The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams
March 22: ONU Symphonic Band Spring Concert
April 16-19: Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 by Dave Malloy
April 24: ONU Orchestra Overtures & Arias Concert
May 3: ONU Spring Band Festival XLIX welcoming legendary composer, Michael Sweeney
