Kenton City Council Member Arrested

A Kenton City Council member was arrested this (Monday) afternoon.

55-year-old Steve Walter, who represents the city’s 3rd Ward, is being held on charges of strangulation and domestic violence.

Council President Joel Althauser had no comment on the arrest at this time.

He referred the matter to the Kenton Police Department.

Kenton Police Chief Dennis Musser stated that Walter, “Was arrested following a report of alleged domestic violence involving his wife.”

“He was transported to Marion Multi County, where he is being held pending charges,” said Chief Musser.
