New Security Measures Start Today at Hardin County Courthouse; Entrance Permitted Only on Southside

Starting today (Monday February 9, 2026) there will be only one way to enter the Hardin County Courthouse in Kenton.

New security screening began operations at the courthouse.

Visitors and employees will only be allowed to enter the building through the south entrance on Franklin Street.

Entrance on the Main and Detroit Street locations will no longer be permitted.

Security personnel on scene noted that the first day as gone well so far, noting a vast majority of people entering are understanding of the change.
