Patrol’s Trooper Baxter promoted to Sergeant in the Findlay District Crash Reconstruction

COLUMBUS – Trooper Kyle J. Baxter, Findlay District Crash Reconstruction, was promoted to the rank of sergeant on February 22 and was recognized yesterday by Colonel Charles A. Jones, Patrol superintendent, during a ceremony at the Patrol’s Training Academy. Sergeant Baxter remained at Findlay District Crash Reconstruction.

Sergeant Baxter began his Patrol career in October 2010 as a member of the 150^th Academy Class. He earned his commission in April of the following year and was assigned to the Wapakoneta Post. As a trooper, he also served at the Van Wert Post. He earned the master trooper designation in 2024.

Sergeant Baxter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural and construction systems management from The Ohio State University in 2005.

Sergeant Baxter served in the United States Army Reserve from 2000 to 2008 and served a combat tour in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
