Lima, Ohio – Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio, Inc. (BBBSWCO) is excited to announce its annual Golf for Kids’ Sake event, taking place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Hidden Creek Golf Club in Lima, Ohio. The event will begin with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start and bring together community members, businesses, and supporters for a day of fun, networking, and impact.
Golf for Kids’ Sake is one of BBBSWCO’s premier fundraising events, directly supporting the organization’s mission to create and sustain one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Proceeds from the event will benefit mentoring programs across Allen County, helping to provide youth with positive role models, academic support, and opportunities for personal growth, all at no cost to families.
“Events like Golf for Kids’ Sake are critical to ensuring that we can continue serving youth in our community who need us most,” said Dr. Portia G. Smith, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio, Inc. “Every participant, sponsor, and donor is helping us defend the potential of local young people and expand access to life-changing mentoring relationships.”
The event will feature team-based play, contests, and opportunities to engage with local partners and sponsors. Community support continues to play a vital role in the success of this event, with companies like Buffalo Wild Wings, Arby’s, Shawnee Properties, the Lima Moose, and Raising Cane’s helping to enhance the experience for participants.
In addition to the tournament, BBBSWCO is currently hosting a 50/50 raffle, open to anyone, whether or not they are participating in the golf outing. Tickets are available now at https://bit.ly/AllenGFKS2026, with pricing set at $5 for six entries. The winner will be announced on June 6, 2026, at Buffalo Wild Wings following the event, and streamed live on Facebook and TikTok.
BBBSWCO currently serves hundreds of youth across its region through both school-based and community-based mentoring programs. Events like Golf for Kids’ Sake ensure that these impactful programs continue to grow and reach more young people in need of guidance, support, and connection.
Sponsorship and team registration opportunities are still available. Those interested in participating, sponsoring, or learning more about the event are encouraged to contact BBBSWCO or visit their social media pages or website for additional details.
