I’m looking forward to it.”

Kasler will face Daryl Flowers who ran unopposed on the Democratic ballot. Flowers expressed his thoughts on the campaign, “Just glad that everybody’s been cordial in their election, and I will continue to be that way, so I’m looking forward to November.”

Schwemer will run unopposed this fall , and he said he appreciates all the support he received during the Primary campaign, “Appreciate my wife being patient with me through the long nights of campaign events and fixing signs through the winds we’ve had this Spring, but I look forward to working with Mike Bacon in the Auditor’s Office and doing the best I can for the county.”

Riverdale School District residents passed the school’s one percent renewal levy. The total for Hardin, Hancock and Wyandot Counties was 567 in favor and 502 against.

Superintendent Greg Rossman released this statement:

This vote reflects your continued commitment to our students, staff, and the future of our schools. Your support ensures that we can maintain the high-quality educational programs, services, and opportunities that our students rely on each day. We are proud to serve a district that spans 143 square miles across Hancock, Hardin, and Wyandot counties, and we are grateful for the engagement and investment shown by our communities.”

Rossman went on to say, “We do not take this support lightly. Our responsibility is to be good stewards of the resources you have entrusted to us, while continuing to grow, improve, and provide the best possible education for every Riverdale student.”
