The Kenton High School Boys Varsity Soccer team tied St. Marys Memorial High School 2-2 on Thursday.
The Cats got off to a great start early as 1 minute into the game Patrick Bartlett found KP Miller for a 1-0 lead.
The lead held until St. Marys scored with about 16 minutes left in the first half.
The score remained 1-1 going into halftime.
St. Marys struck first in the 2nd half scoring 5 minutes into the half. A Reed Cook corner found the head of Bryce Ellis for the tying goal with 4 minutes left in the contest.
Kenton outshot St. Marys 7-6 in the contest and Brent Rader had 4 huge saves in the contest.
Kenton improves to 6-2-3 (2-1-2 in WBL) and is back in action Tuesday at Van Wert.
The JV Cats fell 2-0 and suffered their first loss in WBL play. Devin Miller had 4 saves in goal for the Cats.
JV cats fall to 7-2 (3-1 WBL) and play a one half contest with Van Wert following the varsity game on Tuesday.
