Lima Shawnee Defeats Kenton in Wrestling Action Thursday

The Kenton wrestling could only muster three wins out of the eight contested matches against Lima Shawnee Thursday night at home falling to the Indians 30-42.

Senior Carter Bays continued his undefeated WBL win streak to 6-0 by defeating Tyler Lauck at 170 lbs by a 12-1 Major Decision.

Freshman, Kade Smith at 113 lbs, pulled off a late pin to defeat Kael Dodson (5:31) and Anthony Hunt at 138 lbs won his match over Ben Bullock by a 4-1 Decision. Aaron Modd (126), Gavin Manns (182) and Brandon Bowling (195) all won by forfeit.

The Wildcats travel to Defiance on Saturday to compete in the WBL Championships.
