Calls from scammers claiming to be Amazon employees have been reported to the Better Business Bureau.
Messages such as a fraudulent charge on the victim’s Prime card, a lost or damaged package, or an unfulfilled order for an iPhone will lead to requests for credit card and account login details or remote computer access under the guise of “helping” the victim.
Amazon has stated that they will never make unsolicited requests for sensitive personal information, and will investigate and take actions against any and all reports of such activity.
