Kenton Falls to Bluffton in Boys Soccer

State-ranked Bluffton slipped past Kenton 2-0 in boys soccer action Thursday at Merold Field.

The Pirates, ranked 11th in the latest Division III state poll, improve to 6-2 while the Wildcats suffer their first loss of the season and are now 4-1-3.

Bluffton’s Kaden Basil scored on a laser from the right side with 21:17 left in the first half to give the Pirates the early lead, then Jude Spallinger found the back of the net with 12 seconds left in the match to cap the scoring.

The Wildcats return to Western Buckeye League play Monday when they host Defiance.
