May is Mental Health Awareness Month and Hardin Northern started the month by learning about therapy dogs.
Rick Skilliter who is an Executive Director at PASS (Prevention Awareness Support Services) brought his therapy dog Leo into the building to meet & interact with students.
Leo is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and is trained to work with people in various ways.
Students were able to learn about the multiple forms of therapy help that Leo can provide, practice some of those skills with Leo, and get lots of “hugs & kisses.”
Thanks Rick & Leo for spending some time with us!
