Bellefontaine Officers apprehended Christopher Hawkins, a dangerous wanted fugitive, with the assistance of K9 Boodik over the Memorial Day weekend.
Bellefontaine officers received a tip from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office that Hawkins was said to be hiding at 1000 Garfield Avenue lot 66.
Officers were cautioned to approach with extreme caution as he and had priors for gun charges, felonious assaults, drug charges, and allegedly recently assaulted a subject with a hatchet in another county.
Hawkins was located hiding in the trailer and was given the option to surrender or be dog bit.
He surrendered and was taken into custody by second shift officers on multiple felony warrants through multiple agencies, including a nationwide felony parolee warrant through the Adult Parole Authority.
Hawkins was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
