Higher electric bills are on the horizon for customers of AEP Ohio.
The utility stated that a combination of higher generation supply prices and increased energy use, especially during the summer months, will lead to increases in electric bills for many customers beginning in June.
Utility officials stated that they understand an increase in your bill, no matter how big or small, is not welcome news, but they said unfortunately the change is out of their control.
Customers experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to reach out to AEP to learn more about payment assistance options to get more time to pay your bill, set up a payment plan, or see if you qualify for programs that might help reduce your payment.
