National Defense Bill Provides Funding for Lima Tank Plant
The U.S. Senate recently passed this year’s Fiscal Year 2024 National Defense Authorization Act, the country’s annual national defense bill.
The annual defense package includes resources for Ohio’s military installations, including investments in Lima’s Joint Systems Manufacturing Center.
The bill provides $896 million for upgrades to Abrams Tanks and $614 million for upgrades to Stryker vehicles.
The Senate’s version of the National Defense Authorization Act will need to be reconciled with the House of Representatives before going to the president’s desk.
