OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital and the West Ohio Food Bank held the first of what is planned to be a monthly food distribution for Hardin County residents on Tuesday.
The event was held at the Home Run Memorial Park on State Route 292, just south of Kenton.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office also helped at the site, with the Sheriff’s Volunteers In Police Service providing logistical support for on ground parking and traffic control.
Sheriff Keith Everhart and Chief Deputy Dennis Burns assisted with traffic flow through the distribution lines.
Traffic control on State Route 292 was also provided by sheriff’s deputies.
More than 225 cars entered and exited the site.
The food distribution events will continue on the fourth Tuesday of every month.
