Helen Elizabeth Wright age 96, of Upper Sandusky, died on Thursday December 5, 2019 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital.  She was born on July 30, 1923 to the late William C. and Kathryn (Messmer) Binau.  She married Francis Ronald Wright on October 29, 1960 and he survives in Upper Sandusky.  She is also survived by her daughter Mary Kathryn Wright, Upper Sandusky. Ada Rallies Past HN 36-31

The Ada Bulldogs rallied from a seven-point third-quarter deficit to defeat Hardin Northern 36-31 in girls basketball play Tuesday. The Polar Bears (0-4) led 23-16 early in the third quarter, but the Bulldogs (1-1) outscored HN 20-8 the rest of the way to snag the win. Courtney Sumner had 13 points to lead Ada while Kirsten Poling and Miranda Wills scored eight points each. Quinn Stewart-Evans scored 16 points for the Polar Bears while Maddie Grappy added eight points.

Today in the Veterans hall of the Courthouse in Kenton, the FAA is holding an open house for potential future designs of the Hardin County Airport. They have brought several potential designs, and are looking for questions and feedback from the public. Anyone interested in learning more or providing commentary can visit the Veterans Hall today until 5pm.

Memorial Service for Judge William D. Hart

Today, December 3rd, the city of Kenton held military rites for Judge William Hart on the East side of the courthouse in Kenton. The ceremony started with a 21 gun salute for Judge Hart, and a playing of Taps. Under a Star Spangled Banner lowered to half staff, family of the Judge were presented with a folded American Flag, and given a respectful salute by all present. The service concluded shortly after.
