Wildcats Blank Shawnee 28-0

Kenton’s defense was too much for Shawnee as the Wildcats blanked the Indians 28-0 in Western Buckeye League play Friday at Robinson Field. The Indians (3-5 overall, 2-5 WBL) were held to 107 yards of offense. Kenton’s defense forced five three-and-outs, held the Indians to 2-of-11 on third-down tries and caused three turnovers. Norman J. Johnson, 82 of Belle Center passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.  He was born on November 25, 1936, to Thomas and Mildred (Orr) Johnson in Bellefontaine, Ohio.  He graduated in 1954 from Belle Center High School.  He enlisted in the Army in January of 1955 and was sent to Fort Knox, Kentucky and later Fort Belvoir, VA, where he received training for heavy equipment before being sent to Germany where he was a mechanic. The Kenton City Council Held a Meeting on Monday Night

During new business an ordinance was brought up that allowed for $1,755 for new police equipment and $20,000 for City Hall labor relations as well as $7,000 for street maintenance of equipment. It was later stated that the City Hall labor relations had been resolved so the ordinance was amended allowing for an extra $5,000 to the new police equipment making the total $6,755 and $0 for the city hall labor relations.
