Johnson, 82 of Belle Center passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.  He was born on November 25, 1936, to Thomas and Mildred (Orr) Johnson in Bellefontaine, Ohio.  He graduated in 1954 from Belle Center High School.  He enlisted in the Army in January of 1955 and was sent to Fort Knox, Kentucky and later Fort Belvoir, VA, where he received training for heavy equipment before being sent to Germany where he was a mechanic. The Kenton City Council Held a Meeting on Monday Night

During new business an ordinance was brought up that allowed for $1,755 for new police equipment and $20,000 for City Hall labor relations as well as $7,000 for street maintenance of equipment. It was later stated that the City Hall labor relations had been resolved so the ordinance was amended allowing for an extra $5,000 to the new police equipment making the total $6,755 and $0 for the city hall labor relations. The Kenton Wildcats defeated the Van Wert Cougars 48-25 Friday night in Western Buckeye League football action at Eggerss Stadium. Kenton (5-2 overall, 5-1 WBL) built a 34-7 halftime lead but the Cougars (3-4, 2-4) clawed to within 34-19 before the Cats iced the game in the fourth quarter.
