The Kenton City Council held a meeting Monday night. The Gas Station located at 311 South Main Street is changing ownership, and the council voted to waive the right to hearing. It was a happy homecoming Friday for the Kenton Wildcats as they defeated Defiance 42-14 in Western Buckeye League play at Robinson Field. With it’s third straight win, Kenton improves to 3-1 overall and sits in a three-way tie for first in the WBL with a 3-0 league mark. Defiance falls to 0-4 overall and 0-3 in the WBL. Words by Brenna Flowers The Hardin Northern FFA Chapter hosted a Soils contest at the Crooks’ Family Farm on September 18th. 16 schools attended the contest including Kenton, Ridgemont, Hardin Northern and USV from Hardin County. There were 127 Urban Soils participants and 183 Rural Soils participants making a total of 311 judgers. Hardin Northern placed 1st among the county schools in both Rural and Urban contests.
