Kenton Girls Soccer Fell to Bellefontaine

The first varsity girls' game on the newly renovated Merold Field was a back-and-forth affair that ended 0-0 at half. Kenton came out much better and dominated possession for most of the second half while hitting the crossbar twice and missing a penalty kick. Bellefontaine made a late push and had a corner kick with just under a minute remaining. Hadley deflected the ball out of bounds for another corner and was able to score with 26 seconds left.

Riverdale Girls Soccer Honored Elida Student Athlete’s Memory

H/T Elida Local Schools The Elida community was struck by a tragedy on Friday, August 15th, when Bulldog student-athlete Kenny Schultheis Jr. passed away. Schultheis was a member of Elida's football, wrestling, and basketball teams. In a touching act of support, Riverdale presented each member of the Elida Girls Soccer team with flowers and held a moment of silence for Schultheis during their matchup.
