Hardin County Dog Warden to Hold Final Dog Days of Summer Event

Hardin County Dog Warden The Hardin County Dog Warden's last Dog Days of Summer event will be held this Saturday, August 22. It will start at noon at the Court House Square in downtown Kenton. This is a community dog walk and adoption meet and greet event. You will learn more about the adoption process to give the dogs a forever home. You can also bring your own dogs for pup cups, a photo booth and more.

Timothy Lee Altvater, age 65, of Kenton, died Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kenton, Ohio.He was born August 23, 1960, to the late Robert and Viola (Guthrie) Altvater. Tim married Susan A. (Wyant) Altvater on November 22, 1985, and she survives in Kenton. Amvets Post 1994 The Kenton Amvets Post 1994 will be hosting the 16th annual Poker Run tomorrow, August 15. Registration is set to start at 9:00 a.m. with kick stands up at noon.
