National Weather Service Weather 101 Classes Return October 5

The National Weather Service says its Weather 101 classes will return Monday, October 5, and continue through early December. The free classes are open to people of all ages, including homeschool students. Each class lasts an hour or less and is taught by a National Weather Service meteorologist. No prior training or weather knowledge is required. However, registration is required to participate. You can register now by clicking here.

Shelby County Crash Claims Life of Kettlersville Woman

A crash in Shelby County claimed the life of a Kettlersville woman Thursday morning. According to a release from the Piqua post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ida Kaminsky was driving south on McCartysville Road, when she failed to yield for a stop sign at State Route 29. Her vehicle was struck by a westbound concrete mixer being operated by 39-year-old Carlton Nusbaum, of Rockford, Ohio. Kaminsky was pronounced dead at the scene by the Shelby County Coroner's Office.
