Bluffton University Names Students to Serve as President’s Ambassadors

Bluffton University has named the students who will serve as President's Ambassadors during the 2024-25 academic year. One of the 21 new ambassadors is Gracie Christensen from McGuffey. Hardin County Fair Dairy Beef Feeder Weigh-In Will Take Place in May

Hardin County Fair Dairy Beef Feeder weigh-in will take place on May 18th. It will be held from 8 until 10:30 that morning at the Hardin County Fairgrounds in Kenton. The due date to register for the weigh-in is May 10. All dairy beef feeders will be tagged, weighed and receive vaccinations. Ridgemont School is hosting Spring Literacy Night. It will be held from 5 until 6:30pm on May 8. Those attending will be able to check out the Famous Ohioans Wax Museum, Student Career Fair and learning stations. There will be something for everyone to enjoy. Hardin Northern School’s Polar Bear Showcase Will be Held on May 7th

The Hardin Northern School’s Polar Bear Showcase will be held Tuesday May 7. The public is invited to visit from 5 until 7pm to see the History Brigade work with Living History Day and Living Memory videos as well as the Pop Culture Class’s Pop Culture Villains, which is a look at various aspects of Pop Culture in history. The community event is free and open to the public.

Hardin County First Responders Participate in “Bowl For Kid’s Sake” Bowling Event

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office and other first responders participated in the Hardin County First Responders “Bowl For Kid’s Sake” bowling event this past weekend. The event benefits Hardin County Big Brothers Big Sisters. Members of Fire, EMS and Law enforcement agencies from throughout the county participated in the worthwhile fundraising effort. The Sheriff’s Office was represented by 2 teams along with numerous staff and family observers.

19th Annual Hardin County Master Gardener Plant Sale to be Held on Saturday, May 18th

The 19th Annual Hardin County Master Gardener Plant Sale will be held Saturday May 18. It will be held rain or shine from 10:00 am until noon that day at the Friendship Gardens of Hardin County located behind the old HARCO Workshop Building at 960 West Kohler Street in Kenton.  In addition to plants and garden items supplied by the Hardin County OSU Extension Master Gardener Volunteers, the Hardin County Men’s Garden Club will be at the annual event with plants for sale.
