Marion Man Recently Pleads Guilty to Workers’ Compensation Fraud

A Marion man recently pleaded guilty to Workers’ Compensation fraud and paid restitution of nearly $16,000. The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation investigated 43-year-old Eric Rice and found that he was knowingly and with fraudulent intent working as a self-employed electrician while collecting BWC benefits to which he was not entitled. Weekend OVI Checkpoint in Logan County Leads to Multiple Arrests

The Ohio State Highway Patrol in conjunction with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, the Washington Township Police Department, the Russells Point Police Department, and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources conducted a sobriety checkpoint on State Route 235 near State Route 366 in Logan County over the weekend.
