Meals Donated For Thankgiving

137 meals were donated to Hardin County residents in need this Thanksgiving. Almost $1400 were raised in donations to the project, a partnership between Alice Roof and Our Place Family Restaurant. Kenton Mayor Lynn Webb released a statement thanking the dozens of packing and delivery volunteers, as well as the project’s donors, for their generosity.

Scholarship award applications from the Hardin County University Club II are now available. Alumni of schools in Hardin County who are currently in their junior or senior year of college are eligible to win the University Club II’s yearly $1,000 scholarship. A semi truck driver escaped with minor injuries in a roll over accident that occurred early Sunday morning in Hancock County. Theft Of Motor Vehicle In Kenton Over Weekend

The theft of a motor vehicle was reported to Kenton Police over the Thanksgiving weekend. According to the report, officers were called to Forest Court Apartments to investigate. The 2005 Chrysler Sebring was stolen sometime this past Friday. The report showed that the motor was running with the keys inside. The vehicle is valued at $2000. The incident is under investigation.

A COVID-19 pop-up testing site will be in operation in Marysville on Tuesday.  Anyone can get a no-cost test at this location.  Appointments are strongly encouraged and can be scheduled at union county covid.org/testing/.  Only a limited number of drive-ups can be accepted.  A health care provider’s referral is not needed.  Quantities may be limited.
