A potential burglary has been spotted in a vacant Kenton house. Kenton Police report the loss of around $100 in household items from the 300 block of North Leighton Street, a residence currently going through probate. A Sciotoville woman claiming to be the home’s caretaker reported the burglary to police around nine last night.

ONU To Host The Second of The Season’s Two Round Robin Wrestling Meets in February

Tentative scheduling for Ohio Athletic Conference winter sports places Ohio Northern University in a fairly-prominent role. Per a release by ONU Sports Information Director Tim Glon, the Polar Bears will host the second of the season’s two round-robin wrestling meets on Saturday, February 6. Competition in all seven OAC-sponsored winter sports begins Friday, January 22, with the schedule being limited to intraconference matches only.

A Sunday-morning crash on State Route 37 in Hancock County led to the admittance of two motorists to Blanchard Valley Hospital. OSHP Releases Preliminary Stats on Roadway Incidents Over Thanksgiving Weekend

Ohio’s State Highway Patrol has released preliminary statistics on statewide roadway incidents over Thanksgiving Weekend. Their findings include nine fatalities, among them two pedestrians, four found not wearing a seat belt, and two involved with impaired driving. 298 OVI and 193 drug arrests were made by the Highway Patrol over the four-day weekend, along with 944 safety-belt and 146 distracted-driving violations.
