Deadline to Pay Property Tax Approaching

The deadline to pay Real Estate Tax Payments in Hardin County without a penalty is rapidly approaching.   Treasurer Denise Althauser reminds property owners that the payment is due Wednesday February 13.   The last day to pay Manufactured Home, or trailer, Tax without a penalty is Wednesday February 27.   If you have any questions, contact the Treasurer’s Office located on the second floor of the Courthouse or call 419-674-2246.

Area Church Holding Sportsman’s Banquet

The Hardin County Agricultural Society met Wednesday, February 6, 2019, for their February board meeting. Fourteen directors were present and thirteen guests were present. Coldwater Wins; Arlington 2nd in High School Ethics Bowl

Coldwater High School students placed first in the University of Findlay-hosted regional High School Ethics Bowl held Saturday, Jan. 26.   The Arlington High School team, which participated in the event for the first time, was a strong runner-up.   Coldwater will advance to the National High School Ethics Bowl to be held at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in April.   This year’s competition represented the fourth annual Ethics Bowl event held at the university.   It included […]

Ridgemont Defeats LCC in 8th Grade Boys Basketball

Ridgemont 8th grade boys picked up a win Thursday night over Lima Temple Christain by a score of 44-31. Leading scorers for Ridgemont was Westin McKinley with 15 and Wade Gamble with 13. Chipping in 6 points a piece was Donovan Brose along with Jeb McGue. Jd Haimerl and Ashton Mullins added 2 points each. Ridgemont travels to Elgin Saturday morning to start the NWCC Tournament. Game is set to tip off at 10 AM.

KMS Wrestlers Prevail Over O-G

There were only four contested matches for the Kenton Middle School wrestling team last night in a dual meet against Ottawa-Glandorf. Kenton wrestlers won all four and won 52-18. Connor Dye had the quickest pin of the season by defeating Brayden Tousley in the 80 lbs weight class in just thirteen seconds. Kade Smith followed suit at 86 lbs and beat Grant Kahle by pin at 1:10. MPD Looking for Missing Teenage Girl

The Marion Police Department is asking for assistance in locating a missing juvenile. 14 year old Alexis Adkins has not been seen since the early morning hours of February 3. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 125 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information concerning her whereabouts is asked to contact the Marion Central Dispatch Center at 740-387-2525.
