The Shawnee Indians pulled away in the second half to defeat the Kenton Wildcats 75-45 in Western Buckeye League boys basketball action Friday. HCSO Warns Residents About Social Security Scam

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office is warning resident to be aware of social security scam.   They have received reports that persons identifying themselves as being from the Social Security Administration are calling area citizens, claiming that their Social Security benefits are somehow in jeopardy, and that they must call the supposed Social Security representative to resolve the problem.   Residents are urged to not return any such calls or provide any personal information to the caller.   Social Security […]

Bluffton University Hosting Bowling Green High School Drama Club

The Bowling Green High School Drama Club will perform “Lily’s Wings” at 7pm on February 12 in Bluffton University’s Yoder Recital Hall.   The award-winning drama troupe’s original play explores the manipulative world of human trafficking from the perspective of a young girl.   The event is free and open to the public.   The suspect has not yet been charged, and the incident remains under investigation.

Four people were sentenced recently in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.   According to documents from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's Office:   .Dakota R. Kleman was sentenced to a total of 17 years in prison on multiple charges, including burglary, safecracking, grand theft and money laundering.   .Breyannea Wells was sentenced to nearly five years in prison on burglary, safecracking, 2 counts of grand theft and having weapons while under disability.   Both Kleman and Wells were ordered to pay restitution […]

Kenton Man Arrested Following Domestic Violence Incident

A Kenton man was arrested following a domestic violence incident reported to Kenton Police just after 7 Thursday evening.   According to the report, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of King Street where the man was allegedly seen threatening the female victim with a knife. 41 year old Germaine Bluester was arrested for domestic violence and was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected drugs.   A plastic baggie with white crystal-like substance was seized.   The […]
