Vandalism Reported to KPD Monday

A vandalism was reported to Kenton police Monday morning.   According to the report, a resident in the 100 block of Henry Street told officers the windshield on his pickup was damaged.   The incident occurred sometime since Sunday evening.

Man Arrested After FPD K-9 Unit Dispatched to Motel in Findlay

A man was arrested in Findlay Monday night following a domestic violence incident.   According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Exxon at 800 West Trenton Avenue.   The subjects involved were already gone when officers arrived, but their vehicle was located at the Rodeway Inn Motel on Broad Avenue.   A female inside a room, who had visible injuries, told officers that the suspect  ran into the bathroom when […]

Upper Sandusky Man Arrested on Grand Jury Indictments

An Upper Sandusky man was arrested following a traffic stop Monday evening.   According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, a deputy on patrol observed a vehicle being driven by a man who had been indicted by a grand jury on charges of trafficking in cocaine and complicity.   Jeffrey Knapp was taken into custody and incarcerated at the Wyandot County Jail pending an appearance in Wyandot County Common Pleas Court.

Kenton Toy Collectors Cast Iron Toy Show Taking Place May 4

The Hardin County Historical Museum is hosting the 7th Annual Kenton Toy Collectors Cast Iron Toy Show.   The event, with free admission, will be held this Saturday May 4 from 10am to 3pm at museum, located at 223 North Main Street in Kenton.   Those attending will be able to buy, sell and trade.   The Kenton Toy Collectors Club will be on site to appraise toys.

Hardin County Retired Teacher Association Offering Scholarship

The Hardin County Retired Teacher Association is offering a $500 scholarship to any current Hardin County Teacher who is teaching in Ada, Hardin Northern, Kenton, Ridgemont, Upper Scioto Valley, or Riverdale Schools. This scholarship has been provided by the family of Evelyn Lotz, a former teacher in Hardin County, at her request. The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hardin County Bowl for Kids' Sake was held this past weekend.   The theme was "Battle of the First Responders." Some first responders participating included the Hardin County Sheriff's Office and Kenton Fire Department.   Those participating called it a great evening for a great cause.

Three Arrested in Connection to Shooting in Marion

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1400 block of Southland Parkway after receiving several reports of shots being fired late this past Sunday night.   According to a release, the victim, 29 year old Eric Matthews, was found with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his leg.
