Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association Holds Training Day

Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart was one of nearly all 88 Ohio Sheriffs to attend training in Columbus Wednesday.   The day was part of the Buckeye State Sheriff's Association Training, which was mandatory for the county sheriff's.   Attendees had the opportunity to hear from Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, Superintendent of the Ohio Bureau of Investigation and Identification Joe Morbitzer, Ohio Auditor Keith Faber and Governor Mike DeWine.

WPD Welcomes New Auxiliary Officer

A new auxiliary officer was sworn in at the Wapakoneta Police Department on Wednesday.   Derek Nelson was sworn in by Wapakoneta Mayor Tom Stinebaugh.   Officer Nelson completed the Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Program at James Rhodes State College in October.

EPA Releases Data on 2018 Emissions

WASHINGTON (February 20, 2019) — Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released preliminary data on 2018 emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and carbon dioxide (CO2) from power plants in the lower 48 states.
