A Mock Crash will take place Thursday morning on Long Street near Kenton High School. BKP Ambulance, Kenton Police Department, Kenton Fire Department, Hardin County Sheriff's Office, Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home and Osborn's Towing will also be participating. The Mock Crash will start at 9 Thursday morning. The public should not be alarmed by the drill that is being held for educational purposes.

Date Set for 2023 Eats on the Street

The date for the 2023 Eats on the Street Food Truck Fest has been set. The event will take place from 5pm until 10pm on Saturday July 15 in the Kenton Historic Courthouse District. There will be lots of food, drinks and live entertainment. A car & motorcycle show and kids' zone will also take place that evening.

Latta’s Office Accepting Submissions for Congressional Art Competition

Board of Elections Meeting May 2

The Hardin County Board of Elections will meet Tuesday, May 2. The meeting will start at 6:30 a.m. in their office in the courthouse for election day.   In addition, the board will conduct their regular meeting, review the auditor’s report, approve the minutes of the April 20 meeting and approve bills.   This meeting will replace the May 11 regular meeting.

Early Voting Hours Winding Down

The Special Election will consist of the Upper Scioto Valley Ambulance District Levy and the Riverdale Local School District Income Tax Levy. The hours are today through this Friday 7:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023- 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2023- 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. The Hardin County Board of Elections is located in the basement of the Hardin County Courthouse.

Kenton School District Receives Funding from Ohio’s School Safety Grant Program

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced Tuesday that more than $42 million has been awarded to support physical safety and security upgrades at hundreds of Ohio schools.  A total of 624 schools will receive funding as part of the fifth round of Ohio's K-12 School Safety Grant Program.
