Colloquium Presentation: Trauma-Informed Teaching Scheduled at Bluffton University

BLUFFTON, OH – Laurel Neufeld Weaver, assistant professor of social work and MSW field education co-director at Bluffton University, will present the Colloquium, “Activating Resilience: Creating the Trauma-Informed Classroom on Friday November 21. It will start at 4pm in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall. Neufeld Weaver will explore classroom strategies rooted in trauma-informed practices designed to foster resilience, equity and healing-centered learning environments for all students. Write-In Candidates Blum, Miller and Jansen Win Contested Races

Several contested races involving write-in candidates in Tuesday's election have been decided. In the Kenton Council-at-large race, Doris Blum received 162 votes. Curtis Castle picked up 111, and Ray Lawrence got 61 votes. Blum was appointed to city council in October. E. Lydia Miller will represent the city's 2nd Ward on council. Kenton Woman Injured in Crash Tuesday Afternoon

A Kenton woman was injured in a two vehicle crash that occurred at 4:35 Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Main and Espy Streets in Kenton.
