Hardin County DARE Golf Outing Happening August 27

The Hardin County DARE Golf Outing has been scheduled for Saturday August 27. Check-in will be at 8 followed by the shotgun start at 9 that morning at Veterans Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton. City of Kenton Tree Commission Scheduled to Meet

The City of Kenton Tree Commission has scheduled a meeting for this Thursday August 11. It will start at 9:00am at the Kenton City Building. A list of trees to be removed or trimmed and advertisement of bids will be the topic of discussion. A representative from the Ohio Department of Transportation will also be there to help develop a plan for hazardous tree removal or trimming.

The first ever Junior Fair Prince and Princess winners were announced on WKTN’s Morning Buzz show with Chad and Jenny this morning. One Day Road Closure in Dunkirk August 10

U.S. 68, which is Main Street in the village of Dunkirk, will be closed for one day only this Wednesday August 10. According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, that is for a railroad repair project.  The detour will be U.S. 30 to State Route 235 to State Route 81 back to U.S. 68.

Back to School Bash in Kenton Aug 14

The Hardin County Community School's Back to School Bash is scheduled for this Sunday. It will be held from 4 until 6pm at Boy Scout Lake in Kenton. The event will offer school supplies, food, games and bounce houses. The Back to School Bash is sponsored by numerous local churches and businesses.
