Multiple fire departments battled a structure fire and a field fire Monday afternoon. Richland Township and Rushcreek Township Fire Departments were first dispatched at around 12:45pm to the 600 block of Township Road 51. A Rushsylvania man was killed in a one-vehicle crash that occurred at just before 5 this past Saturday afternoon. According to the report from the Logan County Sheriff's Office, 54-year-old Stephen Breeding was traveling northeast on County Road 9, when he drove off the right side of the road. A man was killed in a fire this morning at the Scioto Village apartment complex in Kenton. Officials say the fire occurred in one of the apartments at Scioto Village and authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim. Emergency crews responded to the scene and the Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office was on scene assisting with the investigation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
